MARKETING EXPERTS NEEDED IN CENTRAL AMERICA

You will use your experience to advise a Salvadoran or Guatemalan business in one or more of the following areas:

• Understanding the Market: Guide market research and analysis to identify and understand target customers, competitors, and the company’s current position in the market.
• Messaging: Evaluate current brand positioning and messaging and adjust as needed to ensure cohesive and consistent messaging across marketing materials and customer touchpoints.
• Marketing Strategy and Implementation: Review current marketing activities and assist in developing a marketing strategy and action plan that attracts new clients and aligns with revenue goals.
• Digital Presence: Provide recommendations on creating or improving digital marketing presence including optimized use of a company website and social media platforms.

Volunteer Skills Needed:

• Extensive experience in brand management and marketing strategy development.
• Skilled in guiding market analysis to identify customer preferences, competition, and local market trends.
• Proven ability to craft and implement effective marketing strategies that elevate brand image and with measurable outcomes such as attracting new clients and increased sales.
• Experience with digital marketing, including SEO, content marketing, social media, and online advertising.
• Experience in the food industry strongly preferred, ideally with products common in Central America such as coffee and “nostalgic” products.
• Experience consulting for small businesses, including the ability to identify core challenges, refine a scope of project, lead discussions to progress along defined scope.
• Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively and provide clear and actionable recommendations.

Anticipated Start: This activity is expected to begin in August, September, or October 2024

Volunteer Commitment: Approximately 40 hours over 2 to 3 months
